How to Set Up Incoming SMS for a Client?

12.06.2026

Incoming SMS lets you assign virtual numbers to clients so that replies and two-way messages land in their account on the platform. This is useful for 2-way campaigns or any workflow where the client needs to receive responses from their contacts.

Before You Start

Before configuring incoming SMS on the platform, make sure you have already connected an aggregator that supports MO (mobile-originated) traffic and will forward incoming messages to your account.

Set Up a Reception Number for a Client

Go to Profiles → Clients.

Click the client's name to open their profile.

Open the Incoming SMS tab.

Click Create in the Reception of SMS section.

In the window that opens:

Fill in the fields:

Field

Description

Phone

The virtual number to assign to this client. Short numbers are 3–5 digits; long numbers are 6–16 digits. All incoming messages to this number will appear in the client's account.

Prefix (optional)

A word, number, or symbol (no spaces) that the incoming SMS must start with to be routed to this client. Leave empty to route all messages sent to this number. Use a prefix when the same number is shared across multiple clients – each client gets a different prefix.

Click Create.

Once saved, any incoming message matching the number (and prefix, if set) will appear both in the admin panel and in the client's own account.

View Incoming SMS

Go to Current traffic → Incoming SMS.

Use the filters at the top – Destination, Client, Aggregators, Sender, Phone, Campaign – to search for specific messages. Each row shows the Client, Aggregator, Sender number, recipient Phone, Prefix, Text SMS, Campaign, and Date Receive
