How to block/unblock an aggregator?

There is a function on the GATUM platform that is responsible for the soft blocking of the aggregator. Blocking is called soft because SMS can still be created by your customers, but they will hang on the platform and will not be sent to the aggregator. This is done in order to avoid the loss of SMS created by the client in case an urgent blocking of the aggregator is needed. SMS sent to blocked aggregators will be waiting in the Queue of SMS tab in the admin panel. The functionality of the Queue of SMS tab is described in detail in the Admin panel -> Queue of SMS.

In order to block an aggregator you need to:

  1. Go to the Current traffic -> Routing -> Aggregators page in the admin panel.
  2. In the line of the aggregator you need, in the Actions block, click on the stop icon. If the current status of the aggregator is “Unlocked”, then the icon will be displayed in blue. If the current status is “Locked”, then the icon will be displayed in red.

3. After you click on the icon and the aggregator is blocked, the inscription “Aggregator (aggregator name) is blocked” will appear in the green field at the top.

4. The aggregator is blocked. His messages are queued but not sent.

In order to unblock a client you need to:

  1. Go to the Current traffic -> Routing -> Aggregators page in the admin panel.
  2. In the line of the aggregator you need, in the Actions block, click on the stop icon.

3. After you click on the icon and the aggregator is unblocked, the inscription “Aggregator (aggregator name) is unblocked” will appear in the green field at the top.

4. The aggregator is unlocked. His messages are queued and sent.
